Multiplication Check

The multiplication tables check (MTC) is statutory for all year 4 pupils.

The purpose of the MTC is to determine whether pupils can recall their times tables fluently, which is essential for future success in mathematics.

Year 5 Teacher Assessments
Year 6

Standardised Assessment Tests (SATs)

A national assessment that takes place at the end of Key Stage 2 (Year 6). SATs assess a child's educational progress. Schools aggregate their SATs scores, which are published and sometimes appear in the national press. SATs results for children in Key Stage 2 are also sent to their secondary school.
